Mission 51

As the fireworks show is about to commence, Yor, Olka, Gram, and Zeb walk through the halls of the ship. Yor says their destination is Storage Area 3 and explains the plan to get Olka off the boat and to the rendezvous ship hoping to proceed during the fireworks show. The group unknowingly passes by the Assassin Leader, who catches a whiff of Olka's perfume. After recognizing the group's scents, he ominously grins after finally finding them.

Meanwhile, Anya and Loid head out to watch the fireworks. Anya sees a child getting a piggyback ride and tells Loid that she cannot see the sky, prompting him to carry her on his shoulders. Anya looks around the crowd for Yor, then tries to listen to everyone's thoughts to find her but cannot due to everyone's excitement.

On the way to the ship's bow, Yor peers down a hallway to see two men on the other side. Yor assumes they may be assassins and decides to go a different route, which she discovers is also blocked. Yor realizes all the passages are guarded and decides to go up to the deck. At that moment, the fireworks show starts. Anya is excited by the spectacle, while the group is startled by the sudden noise. After calming down, they continue onward.

From above, a sniper watches them and prepares to shoot Olka as another firework goes off. Yor quickly grabs Olka out of the way but gets grazed by the shot. The sniper is shocked and barely dodges Yor's weapon after she throws it at him. In succession, another assassin with throwing knives attacks. He lunges at Yor, who kicks back his blade and throws a hand strike, but he blocks it with another knife.

After the man backs off, Yor asks the others if they are alright. Suddenly, a large number of assassins reveal themselves and surround the group. Yor had not sensed any of them and realizes how good they are. She then draws her weapons and gets into a fighting position.

Bacchus

Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow you may die. None adhere more vigorously to this creed than Bacchus, the Roman God of Wine, lewd behavior, and madness.

After spending much of his formative years with his impressively intoxicated mentor Solinus, whom Bacchus loves like a father, the God of Wine is now a wanderer and teacher. He's journeyed across all of Asia, through India, and finally back to Rome, spreading the “Mysteries of the Vine,” a ritual involving incredible amounts of wine to lower inhibitions, freeing one from social constraints, oppression of gender, sexual taboos, and the stresses of life. Quite the successful ritual, if ever there was one.

Much of this ritual seems to have come from Solinus, who is widely known to have vast, secret knowledge and the ability to predict the future, though only while completely drunk. The king Midas, covetous of this knowledge, captured Solinus, endeavoring to extract it by providing the scholar the finest food, drink, and entertainment he could muster. Bacchus finally tracked down his mentor in the court of Midas and discovered him well fed and cared for. Quickly, Midas lied, claiming Solinus had been lost and the king had taken him in. Seeing through the ruse, Bacchus offered the monarch a boon. Midas asked that anything he touched be turned to gold. Without hesitation, Bacchus granted this. He tested his new gift on a twig and stone and found them turned completely to gold. Elated, Midas called a feast, but found his food turned to gold in his hands and his daughter solidified at his touch. Starving and crazed, Midas begged Bacchus to remove the “gift.” Bacchus acquiesced, allowing the greedy king to wash his hands in the Pactolus river. As the golden touch left his hands, the river sands transformed to glittering gold.

Of course, the product of continuous overindulgence in alcohol and deviant behavior, Bacchus could simply be insane.

Queen of Blades

Sarah Louise Kerrigan discovered the strength of her latent psionic gift as a young girl. An innocent flash of childish anger at her parents resulted in massive cerebral hemorrhaging and a horrific death for her mother. Her father would only repeat one thing over and over again in the ensuing years: “I saw her head come apart.” This gruesome event alerted the Terran Confederacy to her powers, and she quickly became the focus of the fledgling ghost program. Because she had reached unheard-of scores on psi-evaluation tests, her abilities elicited a complete readjustment of the scoring system so that she could be properly measured. The remnants of her humanity were stripped from her, and Kerrigan was designated Ghost Number 24601.

Following her emergence from the ghost program, she became an unstoppable assassin for the corrupt Confederate government. It was her assassination of the independent senator Angus Mengsk that brought her to the attention of his ambitious son, Arcturus. At first wishing to extract revenge from Kerrigan for his father’s murder, Arcturus soon realized that she was much more useful as a weapon against the Confederacy. After rescuing her from a clandestine experimental facility, he removed her neural inhibitor and used her restored memories to build righteous anger against the government that had abused her. Kerrigan became Mengsk's second-in-command.

She was running a mission on Antiga Prime when she first came across one-time Confederate marshal Jim Raynor, a new recruit to the Sons of Korhal. He disapproved of her lethal dealings with the Confederacy, but the conflict between the two soon grew into mutual respect, admiration, and even attraction. Kerrigan and Raynor ran several secret missions together before Mengsk’s revolutionary movement brought them to Tarsonis. Even Kerrigan’s jaded sensibilities were shocked when she learned what Arcturus had planned for the Confederate capital world: the placement of psi emitters to lure the zerg to one of the most densely populated planets in the sector. It would result in the death of almost every living thing on Tarsonis. Voicing her opposition, she nonetheless set about loyally fulfilling her mission to protect the hive clusters from a mysterious new alien enemy, the protoss. Mengsk would take advantage of that loyalty, abandoning her to die on Tarsonis when the mission was complete. He couldn’t run the risk of having a powerful weapon like Kerrigan running loose in the shadow of his new government, the Terran Dominion, and put her down like an unruly animal.

Little did Arcturus Mengsk suspect that he had just succeeded in arming the zerg against him. The zerg Overmind sensed Kerrigan’s formidable psionic powers and desired to adapt this new weapon for the Swarm. Bringing all of the evolutionary strength of its genetic skill to bear upon the one-time ghost, the Overmind transformed Sarah Kerrigan into an unstoppable combination of psychic ability and biological deadliness: the Queen of Blades was born.

Not wanting to hamper Kerrigan’s intellectual and strategic brilliance, the Overmind left her a degree of individual will that differed from its cerebrates. It was this freedom that allowed her ambitions to rise, and before long, the Queen of Blades conquered her cerebrate kin and took charge of the Swarm when the Overmind was slain. However, she was forced to fight a civil war with the Overmind's remaining cerebrates who sought to make a new Overmind, which was further complicated by the arrival of the United Earth Directorate, who were able to seize control of the second Overmind and the renegade Swarm. Kerrigan rallied the factions of the sector together against the UED while using her consort Samir Duran to manipulate events, including figures such as Raynor, Mengsk, Zeratul, and Fenix, but when the time was right she betrayed them, killing her former allies. After the UED was repelled from Char and the Overmind killed, the forces of the sector attempted a final push to destroy Kerrigan. It failed. Yet after destroying the remnants of the UED, Kerrigan held her broods back, sensing a greater evil on the horizon, and a shadowing presence lingered on the edges of her thoughts, connected to the mysterious disappearance of Duran...

Four years later, Kerrigan unleashed her Swarms on the Terran Dominion, seeing a relic named the Keystone made by the ancient xel'naga. However Raynor, who still thought that his old lover was within the mindless monster, assembled the Keystone himself and launched a joint assault on Char with Arcturus's son Valerian Mengsk. They used that same Keystone on her, purifying her of most of her zerg mutagen, and reverting her back to her human form, without the influence of the zerg. Raynor fled with Kerrigan, but was soon captured by Dominion forces, and Mengsk reported him executed. Wanting revenge and knowing there could be no peace without Mengsk, Kerrigan returned to the Swarm, reforming it from its shattered state with her deinfestation, and reinfesting herself as a primal zerg. She then found and slew Duran, who was breeding protoss/zerg hybrids in service of a xel'naga named Amon, and slew his physical form, knowing Amon had returned and she would need to face him, but would face Mengsk first. She discovered and rescued Raynor, and after some convincing that she was not the same murderess, the two assaulted Mengsk's capital of Korhal, killing him and ending his schemes.

Yet Kerrigan's true enemy, Amon, had awoken and a year later released his forces on the universe. Kerrigan attempted to reach the central xel'naga temple of Ulnar, but her broods were ravaged by Amon's forces. She received aid from Artanis, who despite his hatred for her, the two made it into the center of the temple, only to find the xel'naga dead and a trap sprung for them. The two escaped, but Kerrigan's swarms were ravaged. Nonetheless Artanis was successful at banishing Amon to the Void

Two years later, Kerrigan received a benevolent call coming from the Void portal in Ulnar, and rallied Raynor and Artanis to help her finish Amon once and for all. They plunged into the Void, slaying Duran permanently and releasing the xel'naga Ouros, who gave his essence to allow Kerrigan to become a xel'naga. Kerrigan gifted Zagara leadership of the Swarm, as well as knowledge of how to recover the sector from its devastated state. She then faced down and destroyed Amon, ending a timeless scheme of manipulation and destruction.

Kerrigan vanished upon the defeat of Amon, but a silhouette of her was seen by Raynor in a bar, before he vanished with her as he walked into a bright light, never to be seen again.

Arrgh!

The episode begins at the Krusty Krab. It's a very slow day with no customers and Mr. Krabs is not pleased with the emptiness. However, SpongeBob is heard shouting his possession of eight gold doubloons. Upon hearing this, Mr. Krabs jumps over to SpongeBob to take the supposed coins for himself. SpongeBob explains to him that he and Patrick are merely playing a board game called The Flying Dutchman's Treasure Hunt, which is based on a real treasure map.

Mr. Krabs sits down to play with them and wins the game. He instantly becomes addicted, even throwing a potential paying customer out and calling the restaurant closed as he continues to play with them, winning 17 times in a row. They play until late at night, when Patrick is passed out and a tired SpongeBob wants to go to bed. SpongeBob goes home, but finds Mr. Krabs there. Despite Mr. Krabs' attempts to persuade him to play more, SpongeBob soon shouts that he wants to sleep, but apologizes as he tells his boss it's only a game. Disappointed, Mr. Krabs stops and realizes he got carried away and leaves, apologizing for his behavior.

The following morning, SpongeBob wakes up to hear Mr. Krabs' voice and finds him in a pirate ship outside his house. Mr. Krabs tells him that they're going to be real pirates and go on a real treasure hunt, as Patrick appears to eagerly join them. However, the two struggle to learn how to act like "real" pirates and end up causing the ship to crash. The trio is forced to continue on foot, following instructions from the map, read by Mr. Krabs, who also tells them that they're not allowed to look at the map. Eventually, the map tells them to go 10,000 paces east from the seaweed with two leaves on it, and Mr. Krabs asks Patrick which way east is. He looks at a compass and points west. After walking 10,000 paces west, they realize that they have taken the wrong direction because Patrick thought Mr. Krabs said, "weast," and begin walking back.

After going around 9,552 paces east, they're exhausted and set up a camp to stay for the night. While trying to fall asleep, SpongeBob and Patrick get excited and find Mr. Krabs gone and the map all alone. They decide to look at the map but when they open it, they realize that it's actually their board game taped to a piece of paper. Mr. Krabs catches them, and they beg for mercy outside. However, his anger is forgotten when they realize that they're standing directly on top of the "X" that marks the spot and start digging. SpongeBob and Patrick use their hands to dig instead of shovels before they find the treasure, and SpongeBob and Patrick ask each other what they will do with their shares.

Upon hearing this, Mr. Krabs greedily says that, since he is the captain, all of the treasure belongs to him. SpongeBob and Patrick get angry and state they deserve a share, since they found it. The trio begins fighting over the chest, as their arguing wakes up the Flying Dutchman, who appears and questions who dug up his loot. Scared, Mr. Krabs quickly blames SpongeBob and Patrick, the Dutchman questions this and they nervously confirm it. The ghost pirate congratulates SpongeBob and Patrick for saving him a lot of digging. He takes the treasure, and gives them two gold coins as a reward, to their joy. Jealous, Mr. Krabs asks for a reward, but only receives a tiny plastic treasure chest, which the Dutchman explains is "based on a real treasure chest!" as he disappears, laughing maniacally.

After he leaves, Patrick remarks Mr. Krabs looks sweaty again, somewhat hinting that he now wants revenge on the Dutchman for taking back his treasure while the episode concludes.
