Deciding on how Luffy can repay the damages done to his restaurant, things quickly become violent when Luffy refuses the conditions. Meanwhile, the Baratie's staff walk in on Sanji holding a bloodied Fullbody off the ground, and after Zeff and Luffy crash down Fullbody is forced to leave. However one of his men arrives in a panic, and reports that a prisoner has escaped before said prisoner arrives, demanding food from the staff. After being rejected violently, Sanji finds the starving man outside and offers him food despite the other chefs decision, to which after witnessing this Luffy declares he will be his chef. Zippo Three Tough Cooks Luffy is trying to work out a much shorter time for working at the Baratie then the one Zeff proposes. But Zeff states he did the damage and now must repair it. When Luffy rudely states he will not accept, Zeff kicks him with his peg leg and offers a much faster way of repairing his debt; have one of his legs cut off. Luffy refuses once more and

The Straw Hat Pirates arrive at the Baratie restaurant, where they come into conflict with the Marine Lieutenant Fullbody which results in Luffy indirectly damaging the nearby restaurant. While inside the Baratie, Fullbody attempts to impress his date, only for the Sous Chef serving them to make a fool out of the man. Meanwhile, Luffy tries to negotiate with the Head Chef about the damage inflicted upon his restaurant by the young boy. In an attempt to have revenge upon the waiter that embarrassed him, Fullbody fails and is left in a mangled state by said waiter. Bertie's Christmas Eve Sanji As the crew approaches the Baratie, a floating restaurant shaped like a fish, the Marine "Iron Fist" Fullbody appears to entertaining a young lady. Johnny and Yosaku hide as to not be seen while Johnny cries over loosing to the captain of a crew that has only existed for few days old. The new member Usopp shows his talent by drawing the Jolly Roger for the Going Merry's sail, and being able to shoot accurately with the cannon. The crew then debates what to look for in their next crew member before setting off to search for a cook of the sea. The Owl Head Solution Yosaku and Johnny On the Going Merry, Luffy displays his concept for the crew's Jolly Roger, a straw hat skull and crossbones. His art skill is terribly lacking, so Usopp decides to show off his artistic ability. After his personal mark is shot down by Luffy and Zoro, the crew and Nami paint the improved Straw Hat emblem on the sails. After this, Luffy tries to hit a large rock in the sea with one of the ship's cannons, missing each time. Usopp displays his marksmanship, blasting the rock to pieces before quickly being named as the crew's sniper. In the kitchen, a serious discussion is underway. As thanks for their help, Kaya and Merry are giving a ship to the crew: the Going Merry. Usopp has made his luggage to become a pirate captain, but Luffy and the others propose to him to join them instead. After their departure, Merry tells Kaya about Usopp's childhood through a flashback. The Birthday of the Infanta To the Sea After a hard battle, Nami, Luffy and Zoro are seen eating in a local restaurant. Suddenly Kaya enters and asks if she can have a word with them. Elsewhere Usopp sits at home after packing his bag, he states it's time to leave his home, however he packed his bag with so much stuff he cannot get out of the door. He rolls away after breaking the door getting out. After rolling away from his house, he smiles and collects his things up again. Elsewhere, Merry and Kaya show the Straw Hat Pirates the ship they intend to give them, the Going Merry. Nami comments on it being a caravel. Merry explains that he designed the Merry and explains its rudder system, whic

Luffy finishes his fight with Kuro and tosses him at the rest of the Black Cat Pirates, forcing them to leave the island, never to return. Usopp asks of Kaya and the Usopp Pirates to keep everything that had happened that morning a secret so that the villagers can continue their peaceful lives, free of fear from pirates. They all agree to keep everything a secret. The townspeople notice with surprise that Usopp hasn't come to tell his usual lies to the town as he always does. Meanwhile, Kaya tends to Merry's wounds and reveals her promise in keeping the battle a secret. Elsewhere, Usopp then reveals he has come to a decision: he will leave the village and become a pirate. In his preparation, he disbands the Usopp Pirates. Silent Snow, Secret Snow The Usopp Pirates Kuro falls to the ground with Luffy still holding onto him. The Black Cat Pirates are amazed Luffy was able to do so and cannot understand how. They demand to know who he is. Luffy explains he will never lose to a pir

Kuro continues attacking his crew until Luffy tells him to fight him instead. Luffy ends up wrapping his elongated limbs around Kuro so that he cannot escape and wins their fight by using a headbutt. At the same time, Jango is about to kill Kaya after beating Usopp Pirates. But Usopp and Zoro intervene and save Kaya from Jango. The Monkey's Paw For Whom the Bell Tolls Luffy and Nami are still watching as Kuro continues to cut up the other Black Cat Pirates. Suddenly, Luffy is wounded by Kuro but he keeps his ground and grabs Kuro's jacket and throws him to the ground. Kuro mocks Luffy, saying he should have stood still so Kuro could kill him easier, and because Luffy stops him moving, his crew are still alive and suffering. Kuro goes to do his move again, but this time Luffy grabs him and holds him tight. Kuro is unable to move. In the forest, Kaya agrees to sign the will if Jango stops hurting the Usopp Pirates. Jango throws them against trees and turns to Kaya, who has his hy

Kuro, laying on the ground after Luffy's punch, stands up and is cheered on by his crew. Kuro lashes out at them, saying that he is going to kill everyone, even Jango, once he is done. In the forest, Jango is trying to hypnotize Kaya when he is ambushed by the Usopp Pirates. Jango fights back, but the noise brings Zoro and Usopp running. Meanwhile, Kuro continues about how his crew must die in order for his plan to be complete. Luffy punches him again and insults him, causing Kuro to unleash a technique that makes him attack everything indiscriminately. The Mystery of Marie Rogêt Pirate Crew On the coastline, Kuro lays flat on his chest after Luffy has broken one of his Cat Claws. He gets up, the Black Cat Pirates encourage Kuro to kill Luffy and call his real name and not his fake name, which they remember that he told them not to call him Kuro. Kuro tells them to shut up, he already plans to kill the crew, including Jango once his plan is successful. Back in the forest, Jango is
