Chapter 61

Sanji and Gin start to fight but their strength is equal. Meanwhile, Luffy attacks Don Krieg, but the armored pirate does not want a direct fight and, instead, pushes back Luffy by throwing needles at him. At the same time, Gin has made a decisive move toward Sanji, but when he is about to give the final blow, he stops himself in tears, unable to kill the only man who has ever shown him kindness.

The Demon

Sanji and Gin fight but their attacks cause little damage. They find their abilities are equally matched. The Krieg Pirates estimate that Gin will lose, but Don Krieg says Gin's fighting abilities will no give out. He explains that Gin is a calm and collected "Demon". He tells them that Gin can kill his opponents without pardon and many people have called him "The Demon". That's why he had placed him as the battle commander in his armada. Due to his injuries from fighting with Pearl, Sanji is cornered by Gin. Patty and the other Baratie cooks become worried.

Meanwhile, Luffy attacks Don Krieg, but Don Krieg releases his armor and plans to kill Luffy. He shoots Luffy with bombs and spears. That spears impale Luffy's foot, and he almost falls into the ocean. Luffy asks if Don Krieg is not serious to fight him directly. Krieg answers the most important skill in fighting is to kill the opponent. Krieg jeers that Luffy is a monkey because he attacks without strategy.

Don Krieg's Pirates scream that Sanji's bone is broken. Gin roughs up Sanji ten times. Gin attacks Sanji and brings him close to his death. Krieg's Pirates cheer at Gin's win. When Gin prepares to execute Sanji, he remembers how Sanji gave him food. Gin begins crying. He admits he cannot kill the only man who treated him kindly in his entire life.

Mission 46

The chapter opens in Berlint, where Camilla, Millie, and Sharon have an after-work meal at a pub. Millie complains about how lucky Yor is to be on the cruise trip, and Sharon reminds her that Yor is there to help out with a VIP. Millie asks why they did not pick her, and Camilla says that she heard that the VIP was bringing a child and was also from the same town as Yor. Millie expresses her envy, saying Yor is probably having a fancy dinner as they speak, while Sharon and Camilla are satisfied with their after-work beer and sausages.

On Princess Lorelei, the city hall group and the Grey family have dinner at a fancy restaurant. While the men from city hall chat about the splendid quality of the food, Yor and Furseal Grey fidget around, too nervous to taste anything. Matthew McMahon kicks Yor's chair and whispers to her to calm down. He reminds her that the enemy is smart enough not to attack in public and that her family is not allowed access to the restaurant, so she must relax and help sell their cover story.

After dinner, the men head down to the lower deck for more drinks while Yor escorts Olka and Gram back to their room. Once inside, Olka notes there has not been any sign of trouble the entire day, but Yor warns her that they must keep their guard up as they have no idea of where the enemy is or their plan. She predicts that the enemy will try attacking at the last possible minute, which will be the next day. Olka asks what everyone else will do if she manages to escape safely, and Yor explains their prepared cover story. Olka then asks if Yor will see her family after she completes her mission, as the ship will stop at a resort island on the third day. She suggests that Yor could use it to spend time with her family, but Yor is hesitant.

On the lower deck, Loid and Anya have dinner at a buffet, where Anya feverishly eats an array of food, hungry from playing all day. She then pauses and notes how strange it is to have dinner without Yor. Loid agrees with the sentiment but gets flustered when Anya calls him sappy. He then moves on to tell Anya to finish her food so they can return to their room.

Nearby, Furseal, Matthew, and the other men walk around after drinking at the bar. Matthew spots a man watching them, so he tells the others that he left something at the bar and leaves. The man continues to follow the group, and once he stands behind a corner, Matthew is there waiting for him. The assassin tries to attack him, but Matthew restrains the man and breaks his arm, covering his mouth to muffle the scream. Matthew starts interrogating the assassin, and after breaking his other arm and leg, learns of other assassins working independently to see who can finish the job first. The assassin says he got his intel from an informant who knows Olka's cover identity and cabin number. Matthew then kills the assassin, disposing of his body into the ocean.

Matthew catches up to the group and grabs Furseal, telling the others to rest up while he takes the man to his room. Matthew tells Furseal what he just learned, and says that because of the secrecy of the operation, there is no way the information could have leaked. Matthew asks Furseal if he made any contact with the outside world while hiding, and Furseal admits to making a goodbye phone call to his parents three days prior but swears that he did not tell them anything important. As they rush to the room, Matthew realizes that the enemy had no intention of waiting until the next day. Inside the cabin, Olka decides to get changed for the night when she and Yor hear someone knock on the door, and Yor wonders who it could be.

Ah Muzen Cab

It is said that history is written by the victors, but what happens when the victors say nothing? Everything that came before would be lost. Events, mythology, even identity. The victors – the survivors – could become anyone. Even Gods. Ah Muzen Cab is suspiciously devoid of a past, but the God of Bees enjoys the privileges of worship and ceremony. Privileges that, perhaps, he stole.

Long ago, the sky was propped above the land by four beings, the Bacab. They endured their task without complaint, and for their service, were honored by the Mudmen beneath. In truth, the Bacab were prisoners, shackled by duty. Then, a great flood consumed the earth. Seizing their chance, the Bacab fled, and the sky crashed into the rising sea. Into that terrible storm they vanished, never to be seen again.

As the seas retreated, new Bacab stepped in to hold the sky aloft. The land reemerged, and from it, mankind was born. Gods appeared; patrons of the sustaining forces of life, like agriculture and fertility. And the bee, creator of honey, used to sweeten food, as medicine for the sick, and to produce mead for rituals, was revered, and Ah Muzen Cab arrived, as if from nowhere, as their God.

Now, as the greatest war between the heavens clashes on earth, what will remain when the dust has settled? Who will be the victor that writes history? If Ah Muzen Cab was, indeed, one of the original four Bacab, he survived the end of the world once and became a God. What power will he seize this time when the new world is made?

Aspect of Death

Malthael was the Archangel and Aspect of Wisdom, one of the five Angel Aspects, and was born from one of the virtues of the great titan Anu at the beginning of time. However, his connection to the largest artifact, the Worldstone, depleted when he discovered it was stolen. Out of all the five members of the Angiris Council, he abstained from voting for the fate of Sanctuary. Malthael soon left the High Heavens after Tyrael reduced the Worldstone to pieces in one blast and after being corrupted by Baal, the Lord of Destruction and last of the Prime Evils. Twenty years afterward, he later betrayed the Angiris Council and Heavenly Host, and then became the Archangel and Aspect of Death.

Karate Choppers

SpongeBob and Sandy are practicing karate against each other. After fighting in SpongeBob's house, Sandy tells him that she will sneak up on him and fight him tomorrow. At the Barg'N-Mart, their battle continues. Later, Sandy pulls out SpongeBob's tongue and grabs a bottle of Volcano Sauce to have him surrender. SpongeBob imagines a face on the drop of hot sauce and quickly gives up. At the Krusty Krab the next day, SpongeBob thinks anyone or anything can be Sandy, so he is cautious and does not work much. When SpongeBob attacks one of the customers, Mr. Krabs demands to know what is going on, so SpongeBob explains to him that he is doing karate.

Eventually, Mr. Krabs warns SpongeBob to stop doing karate or he will be fired. Later, Sandy appears and attacks SpongeBob, although he tries to explain Mr. Krabs' warning to her, she does not listen. Mr. Krabs witnesses and fires SpongeBob, who cries and runs around the place hysterically. Feeling guilty, Sandy explains that it was her fault and begs Mr. Krabs to give SpongeBob his job back. Mr. Krabs agrees on the condition that they try to swear off karate, saying it is poisoning SpongeBob's mind.

The two try to swear off karate and they try to do different things, or go to Seashell Park for a picnic. However, everything reminds them of karate, particularly when SpongeBob slices bologna using karate chops. They eventually can't resist the urge and slice up all kinds of ingredients and make several sandwiches in the process. They eventually take up karate again and have a great deal of fun.

Mr. Krabs, who is taking a walk in the park, catches them surrounded by sandwiches and the surroundings are really trashed, clearly having broken their promise. SpongeBob admits the truth, saying he cannot help himself and asks Mr. Krabs to simply fire him. Mr. Krabs shockly asked "Fire ya?" then he replies that he has something else in mind.

Back at the Krusty Krab, Mr. Krabs rehires SpongeBob along with Sandy make Krabby Patties at an exceptional rate, using karate chops to slice and assemble the ingredients, which brings in lots of customers and makes Mr. Krabs twice as much money as before, and lived happily ever after.

Those who participated in the 'Character Popularity Vote', thank you very much. I'm really happy that Luffy came in first. I was worried that Zoro or Shanks might overtake him.
