Chapter 64

Don Krieg brandishes his strongest weapon, the Great Battle Spear, which he uses to seemingly dominate Luffy. However, Luffy manages to break the tip of it.

The Mighty Battle Spear

Don Krieg is knocked down once again by Luffy. This creates severe anguish amongst his crew members, as Don Krieg has always gone out of a battle unscathed. However, when one crewmate states that he believes Luffy to actually be stronger than Krieg, he arises, telling them to shut up before combining his shoulder plates together to form his "Great Battle Spear", which he slams into the ground next to Luffy, creating an explosion.

The crew members are finally rejoicing as they see Krieg's secret weapon, as he discards his cape and comments that it's way stronger than the stakes he fired at Luffy earlier. While Luffy wonders how the spear made an explosion, Krieg swings it again, sending Luffy flying over the ocean, but luckily, he stretches towards a platform floating. However, due to the fact that he has lost lots of blood thanks to Krieg, and that the platform he's standing on is unstable, he soon falls to his knees.

Now, the crew members are talking amongst themselves about Krieg's weapon, which apparently creates explosions depending on how powerful the blow is. Krieg continues his assault on Luffy, who is dodging for his life. The crew members are now discussing Krieg's massive strength, as the lance weighs approximately 1 ton, yet Krieg can swing it around with only one arm.

Finally, Luffy loses balance and jumps over Krieg's blow, but this makes him wide open for an attack. However, just in the nick of time, Luffy grabs the lance before it can hit him. Enraged, Krieg slams the lance into the ground, forcing Luffy to let go. Krieg proceeds to ram his lance into Luffy, who grabs the tip, but Krieg merely whips it around, creating an explosion which sends Luffy flying. As Krieg swings again, Luffy is hit head-on. Krieg then proceeds to tell him that he is stronger than Luffy.

However, Luffy answers by slamming his foot into the ground, breaking the spear's tip, much to Krieg's confusion and horror. Luffy tells him that he hit the tip 5 times, and that with the wide area they have landed in, Luffy can defeat him.

Mission 49

After the cabin stewards attend Olka Gretcher's old cabin, the Assassin Leader breaks in and takes in a large breath, sniffing the room. He identifies the perfumes used inside and deduces how many people are with Olka. He contacts the informant and discusses their target's next move, predicting they will try escaping the next night. Afterward, the informant hears two bugged assassins speaking ill of him and plotting to recover the money they paid him. Hearing this, the informant decides to make some contingencies.

After leaving the shop, Loid and Anya head back to their room. A drowsy Anya walks in the opposite direction while muttering Yor's name, eventually falling asleep in the hallway. An irritated Loid picks her up, then thinks about how they have not heard from Yor and assumes she is busy.

After arriving at their new room, Yor assures the group that the room is secure and has everything they need to hole up safely until the rendezvous. Gram Gretcher starts to cry, and Olka tries to comfort him, though she herself is shaking. Furseal Grey sees this and exaggeratedly exclaims how scared he was of their attackers. Olka and Gram disapprove of Furseal's cowardice, while he is satisfied seeing them calm down.

Olka asks Furseal, whose real name is Zeb, why he came with them instead of joining the gang's new boss. Zeb gets flustered but says he does not forget how much he owes to the previous boss. He recalls how he would have been dead if not for the black market the Gretcher family ran after the war and flashes back to a young Olka secretly giving him bread. Zeb remembers this fondly and says it is all the reason he needs to be with her. Zeb promises to protect Olka from harm but shouts out when he hears a knock on the door.

Yor opens the door to Matthew McMahon, who chastises her for forgetting their secret knock in the last room. He orders Yor to watch the door while the others rest up for tomorrow, and he will patrol the floor to reduce the enemy's numbers as much as possible. Zeb is baffled by how composed the assassins are and says that despite the war officially ending over a decade ago, war is still around. Matthew replies that as long as people are the way they are, the fighting will never stop, and that he and Yor are soldiers fighting for their country. Before exiting, he warns Yor not to drop her guard and to focus on the job, or everyone will die.

While the group rests, Yor remembers that she did not reach out to Loid and Anya and imagines herself with them. She realizes that in her fight with Sickle-and-Chain Barnaby, she was dragging her feet out of fear that her wounds would cause her to lose her cover and family. Yor reminds herself to keep her priorities straight, and as she thinks about Yuri, Loid, and Anya, she asks herself what she is doing here. The chapter ends with only twenty hours left until the rendezvous.

Cabrakan

Feel the earth trembling beneath your feet? Only a titan of tremendous power could cause such fear. He is the Render of Stone, the Earthsunder. He is Cabrakan, Destroyer of Mountains.

Proud, boastful, confident to the point of arrogance, Cabrakan revels in his strength, tearing down what the earth has labored to rise. These traits – and worse - he inherited from his sire, the demon bird Seven Macaw.

Seeking to end Seven Macaw's entire lineage, the Hero Twins tracked Cabrakan by his quaking footfalls. They found him in a valley, surrounded by great peaks, shattering rock into dust.

"How mighty you are," they told him, playing to his pride.

"I am," he boasted.

"Can you shatter that distant mountain?" they asked.

"Of course," Cabrakan roared.

"You must be hungry," the Hero Twins offered.

"Always!"

And so they shot a bird from the sky for the giant to feast upon, yet as they turned the carcass over the flame, Hun-apu coated it with poisonous mud.

Without a thought, Cabrakan devoured the feast and rose, but already the poison had taken him. Teetering, losing sight, the Earthsunder collapsed. Mountains crumbled a final time. The valley became his tomb.

Yet vengeance is a cycle. Blood for blood, and a Titan is not so easily slain. The destroyer of mountains cannot be buried beneath stone, and Cabrakan's pained slumber is at an end. Bursting free, he now thunders across the field of war, seeking the Twins that played him the fool. Why stop at mountains when Cabrakan can destroy Gods.

Archangel of Valor

Imperius is one of the five Angel Aspects of the Angiris Council, the Archangel and Aspect of Valor, and the leader of the Heavenly Host. He was born from one of the virtues of the great titan Anu at the beginning of time, and has led the Angiris Council and Heavenly Host since Malthael's absence. Known for his unshakable bravery, he and Tyrael led the Heavenly Host to countless victories against the Burning Hells. When the human world of Sanctuary was discovered, Imperius voted for humanity's eradication, viewing them as demonspawn, but was outvoted by Itherael, Auriel, Malthael and Tyrael.

As the truce between Heaven and Hell robbed Imperius from further opportunities to prove his valor in battle, he grew legalistic and tyrannical over the years. Imperius wanted to hold Tyrael accountable for interfering with Sanctuary and destroying the Worldstone, stating that he had brazenly gone against the laws of High Heavens. But Tyrael did not yield and ultimately chose to renounce his own angelhood to side with humanity, which Imperius found sacrilegious. Following the Siege of Bastion's Keep, Imperius faced Diablo, who now reborn as the Prime Evil lead an attack on the High Heavens. Powerless to stop Diablo's assault at the Diamond Gates, and after being paralyzed by the corruption of Crystal Arch, Imperius had to rely on the Nephalem to defeat the Prime Evil and save the High Heavens.

Later, when Malthael, who had now re-emerged as the Aspect of Death and stolen the Black Soulstone, attacked the Pandemonium Gate in High Heavens to prevent the Nephalem from pursuing him, Imperius was shocked to learn that he would attack his brethren, and - while indifferent about humanity being eradicated as a result of Malthael's ambitions - he reluctantly agreed to work with the Nephalem in order to put an end to Malthael's madness.

Valentine's Day

It is Valentine's Day and SpongeBob is busy giving Valentines to all his friends. He is also working with Sandy to give Patrick a very special present - a hot-air balloon made of chocolate. SpongeBob tells Patrick he has a present prepared for him and Patrick is desperate to know what it is, but SpongeBob will not tell him to avoid ruining the surprise before Sandy arrives with it.

SpongeBob takes Patrick to a Valentine's Day Carnival and Patrick thinks that this is the present, only to realize that it is not. As he tries to figure out what the present is, SpongeBob calls Sandy, who is flying the chocolate balloon to the carnival, and tells her about his curiousness. Unfortunately, a flock of ferocious chocolate-eating scallops attack her and she tells SpongeBob that she is going to be a little late. She tells him to bring Patrick up to the Ferris wheel and that she will meet him there.

SpongeBob tells Patrick his present is on the Ferris wheel, and they position themselves at the top as planned. But Sandy is still not here yet so SpongeBob calls her; meanwhile at that moment, the scallops cause the balloon to lose air and derail her off-course, so she tells SpongeBob to switch to plan B. Therefore, Patrick's present is limited to a "friendly handshake," and he is grumpy for the rest of the day at the carnival. Later, the two are sitting on a bench, when everybody thanks SpongeBob for giving them presents. Consumed by anger and jealousy, Patrick goes berserk and wreaks havoc across the Valentine's Day Carnival.

He ends up cornering several citizens, including a frightened SpongeBob, at a dead-end at the Goo Lagoon dock. Just as he is about to attack everybody, Sandy comes down just in time with the repaired chocolate balloon, having gotten the scallops to help her bring it to him. SpongeBob and the citizens desperately tell Patrick to turn around, but he does not budge. When Sandy greets him, he finally turns around and notices the chocolate balloon, recognizing it as his real valentine as SpongeBob presents it. He gets excited and jumps on the balloon, only to pop it when he eats it as it was a bubble. As the episode ends, Patrick gently tells SpongeBob that he didn't have to get him anything.
