Chapter 84

Genzo and Nojiko go to rescue Luffy from his underwater entrapment while Zoro and Sanji take on the Arlong Pirates. Although Zoro is weakened by the injuries he suffered against Mihawk, and Sanji receives a powerful Fish-Man Karate blow, the two shake it off and press on.

Zombie

Zoro and Sanji confront Hatchan and Kuroobi as Luffy sinks helplessly to the bottom of the pool, and Arlong laughs at his weakness as a human. Zoro says he will finish off Hatchan in 5 minutes as he races toward the fish-man. Hatchan spits out ink at him, and Zoro dodges it, but he ends up only cutting off two sections of Hatchan's spiky hair. Hatchan says he will forgive Zoro since he can grow it back, and Sanji notices that Zoro is looking weak. Kuroobi tries attacking the distracted cook, but Sanji dodges his strike and says that a fish should not insult a cook. As Luffy starts to suffocate when he hits the bottom of the pool, Hatchan tells Zoro he is very strong against swordsmen. Zoro raises his sword to attack, and Hatchan claps his arms together to defend himself, but Zoro easily cuts his arms, leaving the swordsman at a loss as to what the fish-man is doing. Hatchan becomes sticky and jumps up to a pillar, which he sticks to. Zoro grows increasingly annoyed with him for wasting his time, and Hatchan notes that Zoro is only using one sword before he says that he has not gotten serious with him yet.

Outside of Arlong Park, Johnny and Yosaku think that Hatchan is playing mind games with Zoro and decide to go help Luffy. However, Genzo stops them, reminding them that they are severely injured. He says he will go and help Luffy, and Nojiko and the other Cocoyasi Village residents offer to help him, but he refuses in order to be unseen by the Arlong Pirates. Nojiko insists on going despite having received injuries as well, pointing out that the Straw Hats were fighting for her sister's sake, and Genzo reluctantly relents as they head into Arlong Park.

Meanwhile, Zoro collapses, and Sanji realizes that the wounds Mihawk gave him have still not healed. Seizing his opportunity, Hatchan punches the pillar to cause it to fall onto Zoro, but Zoro quickly gets up and throws the fish-man in front of him, causing the pillar to fall onto him. Zoro collapses again immediately afterwards, and Sanji, Johnny, and Yosaku reflect on the severity of his wounds. However, Sanji's distraction allows Kuroobi to land a hit on him, sending him flying all the way into the wall. Kuroobi states that he is a Level 40 Fish-Man Karate practitioner as Sanji, having gone through the wall, lands behind the Cocoyasi Village citizens. With the Straw Hats seemingly defeated, Arlong tells Kuroobi to throw Zoro into the pool. He asks Hatchan when he is going to come out of the rubble, and Hatchan bursts out in a rage, saying he is the number two swordsman on Fish-Man Island with his Six Sword Style. At first, Kuroobi mocks his display since Zoro was down, but Zoro then gets up, saying that the fish-man's six swords were nothing special and that he would not die until he meets Mihawk again. He tells Johnny and Yosaku to lend him their swords, and as this is happening, Sanji gets up and heads back to Arlong Park, saying that Zeff's kicks were ten times stronger than Kuroobi's punch. Meanwhile, Genzo and Nojiko dive down toward Luffy while Usopp continues running away from Chew.

Mission 66

Loid is surprised to learn that Yor encountered Melinda Desmond, wife of Donovan Desmond, at the department store. He tells Yor about how famous Melinda really is, and Yor says that despite the strange air about Melinda, she seemed nice, then begins to recount their meeting.

After Melinda formally introduces herself to Yor, who, after realizing who Melinda is, immediately apologizes for Anya's actions during the orientation. Melinda says it is fine, but when Yor insists, she repeats herself in a more serious tone. The mothers explain that the Desmonds follow a "hands-off" parenting philosophy. They also say Yor is lucky to be invited by Melinda to a get-together, as most of them were friends with her before she became First Lady. Melinda explains that she thought they could become friends without preconceptions about her political position. She hopes Yor will, if possible, come over again and become friends with her.

Melinda wraps up the conversation and gives Yor a ride home. In the car, she mentions Damian, having overheard from her household staff that he is enjoying Eden Academy, and suggests that he may have been getting along with Anya lately. Yor agrees, saying that Anya always brings him up and seems happy when she does. Melinda mutters that she hopes they can get along while making a strange face, unsettling Yor.

Yor finishes her story, and Twilight thinks about how Melinda, like Donovan, has her circle small and exclusive. However, because she has not involved herself in politics since the National Unity Party lost power, WISE has not found much about her that was worth reporting. Also, because Melinda seems somewhat estranged from her husband and sons, she has been deemed a high-risk, low-reward target in terms of information value. Twilight suspects that the encounter may have been arranged, but after Anya explains why Yor went out, he changes stances and wonders if it may have been a setup from Melinda's side. While he thinks of reasons why, his thoughts are interrupted by Yor. Yor asks if it would be okay to attend another one of their get-togethers, saying she could better understand what is normal by learning parenting from them.

Twilight thinks of what to do, considering the risks of denying her request or blindly agreeing without understanding who has the upper hand. Ultimately, he decides to let Yor join Melinda's friend group, saying it can help with her cover and that having other friends to talk with is something that she deserves. Yor is convinced and decides to join the Lady Patriots Society. Twilight thinks that if Melinda has no ulterior motive, it could help lower the risk of Yor being reported, and Yor might even bring back useful pieces of gossip from their outings. And if Melinda does have a motive, he will be watching and ready to protect Yor.

More importantly, a friendship between the two could be the key to learning more about the Desmond family and developing a new approach. With this, Twilight conceives "Plan C: The Mommy-Friends Scheme." Depending on Melinda's standing within the Desmond family, this plan could provide an even more direct route to Donovan than Plan B. Reading his mind, Anya is shocked and sees this as a battle of friendship schemes. Determined not to lose, Anya runs off to study, and Loid notices this new motivation. In her room, Anya tries thinking of ways to become better friends with Damian but ends up falling asleep.

Yor sits on her bed and contemplates the notion of having friends. She suddenly remembers that if Melinda is an important person, she should inform the Shopkeeper of her decision. The next day, Yor meets with Shopkeeper, who says he has no problem with it. Yor is relieved, but Shopkeeper tells her to at least watch herself to prevent Loid from thinking she has one-sided political beliefs. Yor says it should not be a problem, bringing up Loid's meeting with Donovan and his interest in the National Unity Party, which piques Shopkeeper's attention.

Heading to school, a tired Anya reflects on not having made any plans to befriend Damian. Anya asks Becky for a way to get closer to Damian, which excites her friend. She tells Anya about a technique in which a girl holds bread in her mouth and bumps into a boy while turning a corner, and it will link their fates forever. Becky buys a yakisoba burger and stuffs it into Anya's mouth. As Damian and his friends approach, Anya moves in for a "Friendship Crash." To her surprise, Damian dodges her attack, knowing she might do something like this. While Anya kneels on the floor with the food in her mouth, Damian and his friends make fun of her appearance. Anya angrily shouts at them but accidentally spits the burger onto Damian's head, both buns placed in a similar manner to Anya's hair buns. Emile and Ewen tease him, and Anya apologizes for wasting the food. Aggravated, Damian yells at her, shocking Anya. His friends warn him not to hit her, while Becky tells Anya they need to run.

Ra

Without the sun, there would be no light, no warmth, no life. Without Ra, there would be no sun.

Ra is a guardian, the keeper of Ma'at - order and truth, and master of the sun. Each day he sails across the sky in a golden ship, and each night traverses the underworld, bringing light and warmth to the dead beneath the horizon. For those in the scorched South, Ra was the first God, creator of earth and sky and father to all other Gods.

But Ra's time is fading like a twilight sky. His descendants have grown in power and prominence and seek to replace him as the figure of authority. His own granddaughter, Eset, cleverly poisoned him by secretly summoning a viper under his feet. When he stepped on it, the serpent's venomous bite poisoned him. Eset promised to heal Ra if he revealed to her his True Name. At first, he refused, for knowledge of his True Name would give Eset unparalleled power over him, but as the pain mounted, Ra was forced to relent. Eset kept her word and Ra was healed, though the cost may have been too high.

Light can heal, but light can also burn, and the great protector is showing signs of wrath not seen since mankind's insolence. In that rare moment of anger, Ra sent his daughter, Hathor, in the form of a lion, to devour the people. However, he ended her bloody feeding before she consumed all mankind. This time, his burning gaze is set on the other Gods. When his wrath finally cools, nothing may be left but ash.

Freedom Fighting DJ

Lúcio is an international celebrity who inspires social change through his music and actions.

Lúcio Correia dos Santos grew up in Rio de Janeiro, in a poor and crowded favela that was hit hard by the financial upheaval following the Omnic Crisis. As Brazil began the long process of recovery, he wanted to find a way to lift the spirits of those around him. He found his answer in music and its power to bring people together and even help them forget their troubles, if only for a short time. He performed on street corners, in block parties, and as he got older, at a string of legendary underground shows.

But Lúcio's close-knit community was thrown into chaos when the multinational Vishkar Corporation secured a contract to redevelop large tracts of the city. Lúcio and his neighbors had been told that the development would improve their lives. However, that promise never became a reality. Vishkar imposed controls on the residents in the name of building a more orderly society: enforcing curfews, cracking down on what the company perceived as lawless behavior, and exploiting the populace as a cheap labor force.

Lúcio wouldn't stand for it. He stole Vishkar sonic technology that had been used to suppress the people, and he converted it into a tool to rally them to action. In a popular uprising, they drove Vishkar out of their neighborhoods. Lúcio's leadership made him a star overnight and a symbol for positive social change. His music skyrocketed in popularity. Whereas he had once performed locally, he was now filling arenas across the world.

With his newfound fame, Lúcio realizes that he has an opportunity to make a difference and change the world for the better.

Patty Hype

The episode begins at the Krusty Krab, having gone without a customer for 36 whole days, is filled with dust, cobwebs, and even a skeleton. An emaciated Incidental 42 crawls in, claiming that he has not had any sustenance in three days. After confirming Incidental 42 can pay, Mr. Krabs has SpongeBob bring him a meal. However, Incidental 42 refuses, saying that there is no pizzazz in the Krusty Krab, and so resumes his search for food, water, and atmosphere. Mr. Krabs remains skeptical, but then he overhears a conversation between Tom and Fred about a talking dog at the Shell Shack and realizes that what he needs is a gimmick to attract customers. SpongeBob tries to share an idea, but Mr. Krabs ignores him and decides instead to bury himself alive, which will easily draw in a crowd. When news of the talking dog singing reaches them, though, they quickly leave.

SpongeBob remains ignored by Mr. Krabs, who desperately racks his brain for an answer, until he appears from the heavens heralding to Mr. Krabs his idea. Finally having his attention, SpongeBob shows him a green patty. Mr. Krabs is disgusted, thinking that the patty is spoiled, and he tries to incinerate it. SpongeBob then removes his fire-proof suit to reveal Pretty Patties, Krabby Patties painted in "six designer colors." Mr. Krabs and Squidward laugh at this notion, mocking SpongeBob with other ridiculous novelties such as sequin milkshakes and bow-tie French fries. Deeply hurt, SpongeBob quits his job as a fry cook and vows to open his own restaurant and prove them wrong, making them laugh all the more.

With Patrick's help, SpongeBob sets up a stand in front of his house to sell his Pretty Patties, though it initially seems unsuccessful. He tries to give passerby Incidental 40 a Pretty Patty, who laughs at its green color. SpongeBob is about to give up when Incidental 40 notices a Patty in purple, his favorite color, and proclaims Pretty Patties to be the best idea ever.

News of the skyrocketing sales of Pretty Patties reaches Mr. Krabs at a rundown Krusty Krab, who incredulously decides to take a look. There are thousands of customers surrounding the stand, clamoring for their turn. Mr. Krabs notes that he has never had a line before, much less the 46,853 customers that SpongeBob is currently waiting on. But to his shock, SpongeBob admits on TV he and Patrick didn't know what to do with the money they're making, so they set up a "Free Money" stand to give the money back to the customers so they can keep purchasing the Pretty Patties. Finally making it through the crowd, Mr. Krabs meekly congratulates SpongeBob on his success. While proud of what he has achieved, SpongeBob admits he misses his days at the Krusty Krab. Seeing an opportunity, Mr. Krabs persuades SpongeBob to give him the rights to his Pretty Patty stand in exchange for the key to the Krusty Krab. Utterly entranced with his fortune, SpongeBob starts frolicking inside and outside his new restaurant.

The next day, as Mr. Krabs prepares to rake in the dough, the customers all angrily arrive, demanding refunds. They complain that the Pretty Patties had an unfortunate side effect: whatever color was eaten is what color part of the customer's body became. Incidental 42, demonstrating a glow-in-the-dark tongue while turning of the light, states that all 46,853 of them want their money back, but under the cover of darkness, the cheapskate Mr. Krabs has hightailed it.

The customers form an angry, rainbow-colored mob and begin chasing Mr. Krabs, leaving a rainbow trail behind them. He runs to the Krusty Krab and attempts to unlock the door, but remembers that he gave his key to SpongeBob, who is currently preoccupied with the sound of his beloved squeaky pickles. Mr. Krabs unsuccessfully tries to get SpongeBob's attention as the mob continues to chase him which ends the episode.
