After defeating the Buggy Pirates, Luffy, Zoro and Nami are about to depart with Buggy's treasure, but the villagers arrive and ask about the pirates. Seeing that their mayor has been knocked out, they ask who did it, and Luffy admits it was him. While they are being chased out of the village, Chouchou helps them escape by holding back the villagers. The mayor soon wakes up, and after asking about Luffy and the others, runs after them to thank them as they sail away. The War of the Shifting Sands Townies Luffy, having beaten Buggy, begins to leave the city with Zoro and Nami. Nami splits the loot into two bags: one for Luffy and one for herself. When the villagers arrive, they find Boodle unconscious, and Luffy admits that he knocked him out. The villages then ask if they are pirates, and Luffy cheerfully says he is, angering them and causing them to give chase. While the crew is running away, Luffy says that it must be a very good town, because they were prepared to fight pirates ...
Nami suffers from a strong fever. The Straw Hats grown concerned as they have no doctor on-board besides Nami. When Vivi reviews the paper, she learns that the Arabasta Kingdom is on the verge of a civil war and won't be able to hold out much longer. Nami then stands up, pretending she is fine. On the deck, she feels an atmosphere change and orders the ship to change direction to avoid a storm. Meanwhile, Vivi has taken her decision: in order to reach Arabasta as soon as possible, they must find a doctor to cure Nami, since traveling with a healthy navigator is the fastest way. A giant cyclone suddenly appears in the path they would have taken had it not been for Nami's instinct. One day later, they enter a winter area, suddenly Zoro spots something weird in the sea. Maximum Speed Sanji continues to worry about Nami's health, while Vivi believes she has come down with a climate sickness. The Usopp Pirates (without Usopp) approach the restaurant Tamanegi saw Usopp enter with the pirates, and confront Luffy, Zoro, and Nami over the fate of their captain. Learning that Usopp had gone to "that place", the Usopp Pirates tell Luffy and the others about Usopp's trips to Kaya's mansion to tell her stories, in an attempt to help brighten her spirits. However her butler, Klahadore, disapproves of Usopp's interactions with Kaya, believing Usopp to be a bad influence for having the blood of a pirate. Luffy's group and the Usopp Pirates arrive just in time to see Klahadore insult Usopp down, before he strikes Klahadore and declares his pride at being the son of a pirate. Lord of His Pack Things that can't be faked Piiman, Ninjin, and Tamanegi sneak across town to the restaurant where Zoro, Nami and Luffy are eating.
