Chapter 116

While Zoro and Sanji encounter dinosaurs as they hunt, Luffy and Vivi meet Brogy and Nami and Usopp meet Dorry. The two of them are giants from Elbaf who are fighting in a duel to resolve an argument that has lasted for over 100 years.

Big

As he explores Little Garden, Sanji hears Nami screaming before encountering a tyrannosaurus rex, while Zoro comes face to face with a triceratops. On the Sunny, Nami and Usopp stare in shock in fear as they meet a giant named Brogy, who asks them if they have any rum. Brogy shouts when a dinosaur bites his backside, causing Nami and Usopp to scream in fear, and they grow even more afraid when Brogy quickly decapitates the dinosaur and holds up its head, proclaiming that he is Elbaf's strongest warrior. Brogy welcomes Nami and Usopp as guests, but they are so afraid that they are playing dead. Meanwhile, Luffy stands atop a brontosaurus' head as he views the island from high up. Vivi tells him to get down, but Luffy is unafraid and wants to go to a rock with strange-looking holes he saw. However, the dinosaur flips its head back and swallows Luffy, but it is immediately decapitated by the giant Dorry, causing Luffy to fall out of its throat and land in Dorry's hand. Dorry proclaims himself to be Elbaf's strongest warrior, and as Vivi looks at him in fear, he invites her and Luffy to his place.

At Brogy's home, the giant offers Nami and Usopp some of the dinosaur meat he cooked, but the duo see skeletons all around them and believe that Brogy is going to eat them as well. Nami asks how long it will take the Log Pose to record this island, and Brogy reveals that it takes a year, leaving her and Usopp aghast. At Dorry's home, Vivi watches as Luffy makes easy conversation with the giant while eating. Luffy asks about where Dorry came from, and Dorry reveals that he comes from a village on Elbaf, which is somewhere on the Grand Line. However, his village has a rule that quarrels that cannot be resolved will be decided by the gods through combat. He is currently fighting Brogy over a disagreement, although the two of them have now been fighting for over 100 years. Vivi is appalled by this custom and speaks out about it, but the volcano in the center of the island erupts, signaling for Dorry and Brogy to resume their battle. Luffy quiets Vivi's attempts to stop the fight, and Dorry affirms that he is now only fighting Brogy for pride, as the two of them had forgotten the reason for their original disagreement. The two giants clash, and Luffy collapses to the ground, being overwhelmed from interacting with the massive giants.

Mission 97

A morning after Eden Academy's end-of-term party, the students have left for their break, leaving the staff at the campus. Henry Henderson greets Cecile Hall's Dorm Mother, who teases him about his dance with Martha Marriott during the gala, to which Henry replies that Martha is simply an old friend.

Going back to the past, Henry, an eleventh-year student in Cecile Hall, attended a talent show for his dorm's New Year's party. There, he witnessed Martha, who was in her eighth year and transferred through a scholarship thanks to her talent for ballet. Henry was greatly impressed by her performance and loudly applauded it, being the first time he ever said "elegant." After the talent show, Martha gained many friends, while Henry lost some for his outburst and was nicknamed "Mr. Elegant."

The two reunited when Martha encountered Henry during his private teatime at the school garden. When questioned, Henry explained to Martha that, as an Imperial Scholar, he is allowed this privilege, which amazed her. Henry reluctantly invited Martha to join him for a cup, which she eagerly accepted. From that point on, Martha would visit Henry at his spot in the mornings before her dance practice to hang out, and although Henry's quiet and lonely world was intruded upon, he did not mind her company.

During Henry's final year as a student, he was attacked by a fellow student, Falco, and his two friends, who disliked him. While Henry was adamant about not fighting back, he was rescued by Martha, who fought off the delinquents, and Henry ended up punching one of them to protect her. Henry scolded her for her actions and became distraught when she pointed out that he did the same, running to his teacher and reporting his and the delinquents' inelegant acts.

To Henry's surprise, his teacher decided to let the incident slide due to Falco's family being an important supplier of munitions for the military. He also reminded the young man to stop boycotting his military training courses, making him remember the current tension between the East and West. After the incident, Henry pondered how he could claim to be a gentleman now. He came to the conclusion that, through education, he could help end conflicts, whether it be petty fights or global war, by properly educating the youth into proper characters. As such, he decided to become a teacher and attend the Berlint University of Education. Henry asked Martha if she would pursue a career in ballet, but Martha told him that it would depend on how she does in her ballet competition, noting that she does not come from a wealthy family like Henry, though Henry corrected that statement.

Shortly before Henry's graduation, he and Martha once again sat together for tea like usual. They chatted about how their tea parties would end after Henry graduated, and he instructed her to work hard to become an Imperial Scholar so she could continue their tradition with her friends. Suddenly, Martha asked Henry if he had plans to invite anyone to the dance at his class graduation party. Henry obliviously rejected the notion, too focused on his ideals and goal to change the world to notice Martha's feelings.

In the present, Martha is telling her and Henry's story to Becky, who is shocked that she let him leave without ever confessing her love. Martha explains that she did not understand "love" or realize her feelings toward him until he left.

Two and a half years after Henry's graduation, Martha, now a thirteenth-year student and an Imperial Scholar, attended an assembly with her peers for their final term. The assembly introduced new faculty, starting off with Henry, who has now become a History teacher. While Martha was surprised by his reappearance, their reunion would be interrupted by the war.

The Fry Cook Games

The episode begins at the Bikini Bottom's Fast Food Coliseum, where the 21st annual Fry Cook Games are underway. The top contenders for the gold medal have traditionally been Mr. Krabs and Plankton. This year, however, SpongeBob has been chosen to represent the Krusty Krab, and is diligently warming up to compete. Patrick wanders by and also wants to compete in the games, but is shut down by SpongeBob, who informs him that only fry cooks may enter as competitors. Patrick scoffs at this, considering fry cooking to be no difficult feat, which offends SpongeBob greatly. After a heated argument, Patrick defiantly storms off vowing to become a fry cook, while SpongeBob furiously intensifies his workout.

Plankton soon enters the stadium and exchanges verbal fisticuffs with Mr. Krabs before revealing that he has also recruited a contender to represent the Chum Bucket and calls forth a colossal giant fish. The giant, however, is simply an intimidation tactic, as strapped to his back is Patrick, who, to SpongeBob's shock and outrage, turns out to have been hired as fry cook for the Chum Bucket nearly 5 minutes prior. Now standing on equal ground, SpongeBob and Patrick vow to outcompete each other, despite both feeling more hurt than angry. Mr. Krabs and Plankton then manipulate SpongeBob and Patrick repsectively, fanning the flames of their charges' rivalry, inciting them to show no mercy in the coming games.

In their first event, the "Deep Fry Pole Vault," SpongeBob pulls off a nearly perfect jump, while Patrick only manages to scald some audience members into fish sticks. Next, during the "Chocolate High-Dive," SpongeBob also does well, but Patrick is able to narrowly out-perform him with his concentration and impeccable form. The events continue, the two competitors maintaining an even score all the way to the final challenge: "Bun Wrestling."

As the bell sounds for the fight to begin, SpongeBob and Patrick rip off their robes to reveal muscularly toned bodies before leaping up and colliding with each other midair. They go at each other in fury, their grudges driving them more than their loyalty to their restaurants. They pull off increasingly dirty moves, practically torturing one another. Patrick licks SpongeBob's foot and makes him scream in fright while SpongeBob then erases part of Patrick's name off his name tag, making him yell out, "My name's not Rick!" Eventually, they end up in a grapple, each straining to bring the other one down, and they're about to finish each other off, until the strain finally proves too much for their pants to take. They tear away to reveal that all along, SpongeBob and Patrick each wore underwear in the color of his best friend and they both cry and hug each other.

Moved to tears, the two friends reconcile and agree never to fight each other again, mutually forfeiting the match and walking side by side out of the arena. This doesn't sit well with the spectators, Mr. Krabs or Plankton, who try to get them to come back and fight again while the crowd boos. Just before the episode ends with SpongeBob and Patrick leaving the arena, the latter notes that his underwear was white when he first bought it.
